Motor Pool Services Group provides services to Code3 Motor Pool including our Vehicle Brokerage Unit, Vehicle Transport Unit, Paint & Body Finishing Center, Custom Upholstery Center, and Graphic Design Group. Code3 Motor Pool is located along with its sister companies in a 150,000 square foot facility on Airport Road, ten minutes north of Lester B. Pearson International Airport at Highway #407. The company is currently designing a new 350,000 square foot facility that will include indoor vehicle storage, state-of-the-art car and truck wash, body repair facility and state-of-the-art paint bays, and will be set to open in fall 2003.
Vehicle Brokerage Unit
The Vehicle Brokerage Unit buys and sells current and late model cars and trucks and has a rolling inventory of about 250 vehicles at any given time. This group has the capital, resources and industry expertise to purchase whatever make, model or color of vehicle, and in any quantity, and over whatever timeframe, requested by a production company.
Vehicle Transport Unit
The Vehicle Transport Unit has a fleet of ultramodern open automobile carriers and flat bed trucks that deliver and pick-up picture vehicles to and from location. The Vehicle Transport Unit is a full service facility with the ability to transport our cars and trucks to location using our fleet of carriers. The carriers can haul from one to eight vehicles at a time, both locally, coast to coast, or to the United States.
Paint & Body Finishing Center
The Paint & Body Finishing Center was created to repair and paint our vehicles when they are damaged or when a client requests a different vehicle color. The Paint & Body Finishing Center has historical reference paint colors created by all major automobile manufacturers and they are used when a client wants a vehicle painted or repainted to replicate a specific production year. We also have the ability to custom mix paints to create unique colors desired by our clients. The paints we offer are peel coating or water-based paint. The Paint & Body Finishing Center has two paint bays, one standard size for a vehicle and a 40 foot bay, in order to paint vehicles as large as buses or fire trucks. The Paint & Body Finishing Center is extremely useful when shooting identical twin vehicles, whereby if one of the twins is used for an accident scene, we can have that same car back to our client's set in perfect order within five business days, or less, depending upon the damage.
Custom Upholstery Center
For our client's interior shots, the Custom Upholstery Center can create, recreate or repair interior colors, styles or materials, and also has the ability to detail and dye convertible tops and vinyl roofs.
Graphic Design Group
The Graphic Design Group has the necessary reference materials to create graphics for all the police departments, fire departments, ambulance services and government department and agencies in the United States and Canada. In the instance where a client wants to create their own graphics, or recreate graphics from another era, The Graphic Design Group has a graphic design team with the expertise to create graphics packages for any vehicle. The Graphic Design Group uses state-of-the-art computer systems and software and has the ability to create, vinyl lettering, decals, hand lettering and airbrushing.
